About Me

Hi, I'm Julie Fleischer

After decades leading high-stakes, fast-growing engineering programs, I founded Pragmatic Tech Execution (PTX) to help startup software teams scale with speed, clarity, and trust.  I’ve guided engineering teams from concept to launch, through uncertainty, urgency, and complexity, while building the operational infrastructure for repeatable success.

At PTX, I work shoulder-to-shoulder with startup teams to develop execution structure and drive traction in high-stakes, ambiguous environments.  I don't advise from the sidelines.  I operate inside the team, diagnosing what is blocking momentum and building the structure for sustainable execution.

I believe urgent execution and clear decision-making are both buildable and teachable. I do both for scaling software teams.

Why PTX Exists

I built PTX to help scaling engineering teams navigate ambiguity and deliver in high-pressure environments without burning out. I’ve codified the tactics that enable urgent, high-quality execution, such as how to: structure decision-making, incorporate customer feedback, actively manage the most critical execution activities, and assign the right people to solve the right problems.

I teach teams how to think strategically about the information they gather: what to collect, why it matters, and how to use it to drive customer-focused decisions.  I help leaders build systems that accelerate resolution, deliver with urgency, and protect team energy.

What I'm Up to Today

  • I recently launched the Pragmatic Tech Execution Starter Pack, a collection of toolkits of decision-making frameworks, execution playbooks, and hands-on exercises around my three execution system pillars (#issuedrivenexecution, #adaptivechangecontrol, #designingpredictablereleases).

  • I’m currently releasing Case Studies that show how these pillars help scaling engineering teams navigate complexity and deliver under pressure.

  • I’m also rolling out Advisory Sprints to provide hands-on support for engineering leaders who want traction without burnout.
